Carmel North?

While Carmel has the well-earned reputation as the dog-friendly capital of the world, Mendocino is certainly nipping at her heels. In Dog Fancy Magazine’s 2010 Top-40 dog-friendly towns in the country, Mendocino Coast’s Fort Bragg came in at number 5. Kayla has always found Mendocino to be welcoming towards 4-legged critters.

Kayla's multiple trips to the county, both coastal and inland, have included romps on leash-free Noyo Beach, a ride on the Skunk Train, a tour of the 47-acre Botanical Garden, a visit to the Point Cabrillo Light Station, stopping at the over-the-top dog-friendly wineries of the Anderson Valley and of course overnights at the many dog-friendly lodging properties, including the Stanford Inn, Beachcomber Motel, Little River Inn & the Baechtel Creek Inn & Spa.
