Looking for some youthful energy in your life? Here's Cha Cha, who's 5 months old and looking for her own family. She landed at Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe with her sister, who's been adopted, so it's time for her to start her own adventure. Cha Cha's a cute Chi mix who's still got a bit of growing to do, but at a current 8.2 pounds, she's going to be a little dog—on the outside, anyway. Check her out here—she's spayed, micro-chipped, and current on all her vaccinations, so she's ready to go home with you!
Since 1994, HSTT has provided a much-needed safety net for the region's dogs, cats, and other critters who find themselves in need, thanks to a lot of support from the surrounding community. And if there's a mountain trip in your future, join the fun at these great—and very dog-friendly—events in the Village at Palisades Tahoe, with plenty of local food, brews, and music, all helping to make HSTT's work possible. August 13-14 brings the return of the Brews, Jazz & Funk Fest, with breweries from throughout the West showcasing their wares and great bands bringing the funk. Then on August 27, the 7th Annual Peaks & Paws takes over downtownPalisades Tahoe, with bluegrass bands, food, wine, beer—and lots of fun activities for you and Fido, including hikes and fetching contests. A good time for you, a good time for your pal, and TLC for lots of dogs like Cha Cha when they need it. What's not to like?
