Golden State German Shepherd Rescue

On Saturday October 20, 2012, Golden State German Shepherd Rescue hosts its annual gala fundraiser at the Crowne Plaza in Concord. Besides the opportunity to wine, dine and socialize, there will also be lots of live and silent auction items—not to mention the K9 officers of the Concord and Pleasant Hill police departments showing their skills. Also on hand will be a few once-homeless German Shepherd Dogs who, thanks to this all-volunteer group, are now loving life with their forever families.

BrittaOne beneficiary of the gala who's hoping for a permanent home is young Britta. This gorgeous girl is about 18 months old and comes from German working/show lines. She's doing well in her foster home, loves all people, and seems to have a good affinity with kids. No cats for Britta, as she's a bit too interested in them; she plays well with her two canine foster brothers, and her ideal home would be either as an only dog or with a very dog-friendly male. Britta knows basic commands, has good leash manners, and rides well in the car; she needs an owner who's experienced with German Shepherds and can keep her busy and well exercised. If you think you're a good match, get in touch!
