The good folks at the East Bay SPCA will be going all-out to get the East Bay's homeless animals into new forever families on Saturday, July 19, as they host 34 rescue groups and shelters at their annual Adopt-a-Thon in Oakland's Jack London Square. If you're looking for a new best friend, here's your chance! And if you're not, there's plenty of other fun: browse vendor booths offering cool stuff for your dog or cat, plus get free behavior advice from East Bay SPCA's behavior and training staff. If your pooch isn't microchipped yet, they can take care of that too for just $10.
Something else you can do at the event — sign up to foster dogs in need. You can help the East Bay SPCA increase its capacity to save lives by opening your heart and home to one of its shelter animals. The East Bay SPCA will take care of all the supplies; you provide the space and the love! Sign up in person at the Adopt-a-Thon, at the shelter, or online.
Need more love and laughter in your life? Look no further. Currently in search of a home is sweetie-pie Sugar, a 1-year-old American pit bull mix. She's an expert cuddler, and just needs a couch to claim as her own! Sugar is available at the East Bay SPCA's Oakland Adoption Center.
