After the Fire, Amador and Calaveras Are Open for Business

The Butte Fire may be history, but it will take many years and lots of resources for residents of the affected areas to get their lives back. Along with our travel partners in Amador and Calaveras Counties, we'd like to send heartfelt thanks to all the firefighters, first responders, and volunteers whose efforts accomplished so much to save lives and homes during this year's horrific fire season.

We'd also like to help get the word out that, from wineries and B&Bs to scenic hiking trails and (soon!) Sno-Parks, attractions in the area are undamaged by the fire and waiting to welcome you. Fall's an especially lovely time to visit, and you and Bella can feel especially great about helping out the local economy when it really makes a difference. Check our Amador and Calaveras pages and plan your trip now!

If you'd like to donate to relief efforts, the Calaveras Community Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund is channeling donations from around the world to local organizations (including Calaveras Humane Society – Butte Fire Vet Assistance Fund), and has distributed over $100,000 so far.  They, and the many families they're helping, would be very grateful for your help.
