The Lanza family has been producing wine in the Suisun Valley for three generations, and its Wooden Valley Winery is a great place to sit and sip awhile with your four-legged friend. A landscaped garden area with picnic tables fills up on weekend afternoons with folks sampling the winery's large range of varietals.

Don’t you love it when you stumble across something great that you never knew about before? That’s the feeling that takes over upon entering Lagoon Valley Park, 470 acres of open space just off Interstate 80 between Vacaville and Fairfield. The park includes the historic Pena Adobe, oldest structure in Solano County; plus picnic areas and a hiking trail that will take you and your leashed friend 2.5 miles around the namesake lake.
