The Truckee River Legacy Trail connects downtown Truckee with the Glenshire neighborhood, while traveling along the banks of the Truckee River. Offering lots of sunshine and beautiful river views, the Legacy Trail is an ideal spot to utilize all year round but particularly during the winter - it is plowed when other trails are covered in snow.

It's a 6-mile paved Class I bike path starting at the Truckee River Regional Park (or on the east end of the path, at Glenshire Road, just before entering the Glenshire neighborhood sign). There is also access from Truckee Riverview Sports Park.

This beautiful path winds along the Truckee River with a bridge over Martis Creek and is a popular trail for bikers, runners, dog walkers and families.

Level: Easy (but steep approaching Glenshire)
Usage: Moderate
Access: Truckee River Regional Park or Glenshire
Please keep dogs on a leash and pick up after them.
