About MontereyBayWe take pride in helping our community become more responsible dog owners by helping people train their dogs in obedience and agility.

We conduct over 100 dog training classes each year with locations serving Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey counties.  Class opportunities start with puppy and beginning levels and extend through intermediate to advanced competition levels.  We actively support the Canine Good Citizen program and offer CGC testing several times through out the year. Our trainers work with hundreds of students and a very wide variety of dogs each year.

YES - mixed breeds are absolutely Welcome!

BaxterHoliday cheer from HSSV: This cute little Labradoodle mix arrived at Humane Society Silicon Valley with a spinal inflammation (maybe from an infection, maybe from an injury) that made the connection between his brain and his back legs fail at odd moments. He'd take off walking, but within a few steps his legs would give out and he'd flop to the ground. None of this seemed to bother him a bit though; he'd just pick himself up and try again.  more »
The good folks at Humane Society Silicon Valley are going all out for Maddie's Pet Adoption Days, with multiple adoption stations. Drop by their Animal Community Center in Milpitas, plus the PETCO Neighborhood Adoption Centers in San Jose and Sunnyvale. Things will be really festive at the Milpitas location, where friendly staff will be on hand to help prospective adopters make the perfect match and ensure a smooth transition for the new family member. Adding to the fun: food trucks for the humans, and shopping opportunities galore for dog goodies at HSSV's Whole Pet store.  more »
