Numerous points of entry
Folsom, California
Visit Website
This 11 mile trail has enough topography change to keep things interesting but not strenuous. It follows the shore of Lake Natoma, crossing Willow Creek and Alder Creek on wooden bridges. Dogs on leash welcome, and you'll find plenty of splash spots along the way. Be aware, however, that this trail is heavily used by mountain bikers whose attention tends to stay riveted on the ground right in front of them.
Park in Old Town Folsom to pick up the trial behind the dog-friendly Lake Natoma Inn, or enter from fee areas at Willow Creek or Nimbus Flats. The Iron Point light-rail station is another option.
