The Indian Pools trail, less than a mile long and very easy, begins at the China Peak Ski Area parking lot and follows Big Creek to a pool big enough to swim and wade in. Keep going to a creek pocked with swimming holes and big boulders to sit on. A well-worn trail continues upstream to more pools and waterfalls. Look for rock cairns or "ducks" to help navigate a couple hard-to-follow sections.
