HumDOG (Humboldt Dog Obedience Group) was founded in 1978 with two primary goals:

• Promote benefits of obedience training for all dogs
• Encourage responsible dog ownership

HumDOG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a board of directors.

Most of HumDOG members live on the North Coast. Members range in age from teens to octogenarians. By their enthusiasm, help and knowledge, HumDOG is kept alive and continues to serve the community. New members often start as students in one of their classes.
