Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills' (HSSF) Law Enforcement Division’s humane officers are dedicated to investigating animal abuse and cruelty cases and working with the district attorney’s office and law enforcement to prosecute individuals.

Together with volunteers from other non-profit animal rescue organizations as well as local veterinarians, the HSSF investigations team is committed to promoting and protecting the health, safety, and welfare of animals and people.
