Highland Springs Recreation Area, managed by the County of Lake Watershed Protection District, offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities. 

Visitors can enjoy hiking, horseback and carriage riding, mountain biking on undeveloped singletrack trails and fire roads; disc golfing, paddling, fishing, hunting, picnicking and swimming.

Summers are made for camping, and Lake County has no shortage of dog-friendly campgrounds, both public and private, where you can pop a tent or pull up an RV for a few days of outdoor fun with your family, pup included.
