Founded in 1993, Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary is an animal rescue group dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of homeless and abused animals throughout the Sacramento area.

Although cats make up the great majority of adoptions, it is not strictly a cats-only organization. They do rescue dogs as foster homes and space become available.

Happy Tails’ foster dogs are located in volunteer homes in the Sacramento area. Dogs are not currently housed at the Folsom Blvd. location.
