Founded in 2001, Friends for Life Animal Rescue (FFL) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit California corporation. It is the goal of FFL to provide a bridge for animals from homelessness or abandonment to their forever homes.

FFL fulfills this mission through their spay/neuter program, humane education program and shelter emergency medical fund program that serves animals in need at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter who are suffering from illness and/or injury and have exceeded the amount of money allocated for veterinary care that the county shelter is able to provide.
