In all but the nastiest of weather, the outdoor tables at this popular venue in the Village at Squaw Valley are filled with skiers coming down off the slopes and locals with canines at their sides.

The menu includes delicious soup and salad selections, but pizza, as the name suggests, is the house specialty. A house favorite is the Fireside, which comes loaded with Italian sausage, pepperoni, fire-roasted onions and peppers, and portabello mushrooms.

On the vegetarian side, the pear and Gorgonzola pizza is a standout.
