Corona del Mar State Beach is a popular place for swimmers. The half-mile long sandy beach is framed by cliffs and a rock jetty that forms the east entrance to Newport Harbor. The beach is also popular with surfers and divers.

The beach can be reached via an access road near the intersection of Iris Street and Ocean Boulevard in Corona del Mar.

Before 10 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m., dogs are allowed, if they are securely restrained by a substantial leash not exceeding six feet in length.

Dogs are not allowed on the beach or any beachfront sidewalk between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Help us keep this beach beautiful and dog-friendly:

• Respect natural marine life and habitats
• Be aware of tides and currents
• Pack in and pack out, leaving only paw prints
