Clear Lake State Park is on the shores of one of California's largest freshwater lakes.

The area is popular for all kinds of water recreation, including swimming, fishing, boating and water-skiing.

The park visitor center features displays about the area's rich and interesting natural and cultural history.

Hikers enjoy the Indian Nature Trail, a self-guided trail that shows how the native Pomo people, who lived in the area for centuries, utilized the area's resources. The trail passes through the site of what was once a Pomo village.

Please make sure that the trail you are on is a dog-friendly one.

Dogs are not allowed at the swimming beaches at this park, but they are allowed in the campgrounds and in the water at non-designated swim areas.

The non-designated swim beach is located between campgrounds 57 and 58. Pets must be on leash and please clean up after them.

Help us keep this trail beautiful and dog-friendly:
• Always follow the posted rules as they may have changed
• If in off-leash area, keep your dog under voice command
• Respect and protect wildlife and habitats
• Pack in and pack out, leaving only paw prints
