Take Highway 89 north from South Lake Tahoe approximately 8 miles to the Bayview Campground across from the Inspiration Point Vista parking lot.

Parking for the trail is located at the far end of the campground.  Look for the trailhead sign at the far end of the parking area. Great views of the 200-foot-high falls and Cascade Lake can be seen from the mile-long trail. Please note that you will need to obtain a wilderness permit (at the trailhead) if you intend to go past the falls and into Desolation Wilderness.

Help us keep this trail beautiful and dog-friendly:
• Always follow the posted rules as they may have changed
• If in off-leash area, keep your dog under voice command
• Respect and protect wildlife and habitats
• Pack in and pack out, leaving only paw prints
