The California Coastal Trail (CCT) is a network of public trails for walkers, bikers, equestrians, wheelchair riders and others along the 1,200-mile California coastline. It is currently more than half complete.

The Coastal Trail in San Francisco connects some of the city's major tourist attractions and most scenic natural and man-made landscapes. Points of interest on the trail include the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point, the Presidio, the Palace of the Legion of Honor, Sutro Gardens, Cliff House, Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park and Fort Funston.

Coastwalk California is a volunteer organization that advocates for completion of the Trail.  Members invite you to get out and enjoy the trail and to get involved in the cause!

Help us keep this trail beautiful and dog-friendly:
• Always follow the posted rules as they may have changed
• Respect and protect wildlife and habitats
• Pack in and pack out, leaving only paw prints

If there’s a more dog-friendly big city than San Francisco, we at DogTrekker.com certainly don’t know about it. An abundance of open space available to the canine set is one of the City by the Bay’s main attractions for dog lovers. Well behaved pooches are allowed to exercise and socialize off-leash in two dozen places within city limits, including several—Bernal Heights, Crissy Field, Fort Funston—with views to drool over. more »
