While dogs are not allowed on most of the trails at Mt. Tam, they are allowed on the Old Stage Road. This path is about .5 to .75 miles and leads to the Marin Municipal Water District Land which allows dogs on their trails.

Dogs must be leashed on both the state park and the water district lands. Please clean up after your pets.

Directions:
To get there, take Highway 101 north of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Then take Highway 1 to the Stinson Beach exit and follow the signs up the mountain.

Help us keep this trail beautiful and dog-friendly:
• Always follow the posted rules as they may have changed
• If in off-leash area, keep your dog under voice command
• Respect and protect wildlife and habitats
• Pack in and pack out, leaving only paw prints
