Humane Society of Tuolumne County

Since 1947, the Humane Society of Tuolumne County, located in Jamestown, has been dedicated to providing a safe haven for the area's animals who find themselves lost, homeless, or in need of a bit of help. Thanks to a dedicated small staff and a whole lot of committed volunteers, dogs and cats get plenty of TLC and training at the shelter and in foster care, picking up the skills and knowledge they'll need to settle nicely into their forever homes.

Jamie is the class clown

Jamie here is a bright, happy girl who wasn't in the best of homes before she landed at the shelter as a youngster, and has been soaking up the love and training since her arrival. As you'll see from her video, she's a big fan of walks and outings, and has excellent social graces, playing well with other dogs and human companions. A dog of diverse gene pool whose most obvious ancestors were Labs and Staffordshire terriers, Jamie is a fun companion with plenty of energy for an active lifestyle and a big heart with lots of room for her people.

If you're in the area on July 19, HSOTC's Yappy Hour Pawty and Auction is the perfect chance to help the county's needy critters while enjoying a tour of local wineries, a delicious dinner by Chef Dave Cooks, and a live auction with lots of cool art and other unique items.
