For the third year in a row, Berkeley Humane is taking to the streets to find loving adopters for as many homeless Bay Area animals as possible in one day. Bark (& Meow) Around the Block is an adopt-a-thon and family friendly street fair.
In addition to the adopt-a-thon, Bark (& Meow) Around the Block features great food, beer and wine from local establishments, kids games and activities, live music, vendors with great pet and other products, as well as exciting raffle prizes from local businesses. All proceeds from the event benefit Berkeley Humane and support their mission of providing complete care for homeless animals.
What: Bark (& Meow) Around the Block

At Bark (& Meow) Around the Block in 2014, Berkeley Humane and partner rescues found homes for more than 70 homeless dogs and cats within five hours. This year, the goal is to replicate—or even surpass—last year’s success.
Berkeley Humane provides complete care for homeless animals, from rescue to rehabilitation to placement. The organization matches animals with loving and committed adopters, strengthen the human-animal bond, and promote the humane treatment of animals.
